Esta M. Stidham, 90, of Sandusky, died early Friday morning, June 29, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
She was born June 7, 1917, in Keokee, Va., and had lived in Sandusky since 1955. Esta retired from the former American Crayon Company. Prior to this, she worked at the former Franketti's Restaurant, Sandusky.
She is survived by one son, Donald (Jean) Stidham; two daughters, Wanda (Jack) Johnson and Phyllis Sue Willis, both of Sandusky; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Dalton of Sandusky; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Squair Lee Stidham in 1973; her parents, James I. and Mary (Lawson) Dalton; one grandson, Don Stidham Jr.; seven brothers; and four sisters.
Visiting hours were Saturday in Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel. Today the body will be taken to Holding Funeral Home, Big Stone Gap, Va. Friends may call from 1 p.m. Tuesday until services at 2 p.m. in Christian Life Church, Big Stone Gap., where the Rev. Michael Dalton will officiate. Burial will be in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap.
