David C. Petree, 49, of Washington Township, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2007, in Kettering Medical Center.
David was a graduate of Wyoming High School and DePauw University, where he majored in zoology. He was a former pharmaceutical rep with Ortho Biotech for many years and more recently turned his hobby into a career as a financial adviser with Morgan Stanley of Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of the Centerville Noon Optimist Club. David loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking and even yard work.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Jane; son, Christopher John; daughters, Erin Leigh, Jennifer Lynne; mother, Winifred Petree; brother, Steve (Nancy) Petree of West Chester, Ohio; sister, Karen (Jim) Cashman of McMurray, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Paula Rengel of Sandusky and Elizabeth Pheiffer of Greenville, S.C.; brother-in-law; John Pheiffer of Sandusky; father-in-law, Paul Pheiffer also of Sandusky; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Frank Petree and mother-in-law, Catharine Pheiffer.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. today at Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel at Rahn Road, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, where a memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday with Pastor David Zuidema officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the MS Society, Centerville Noon Optimist Club or to one's favorite charity.
