Henni K. (Manton) Maciejauskas, 83, of Euclid and formerly Norwalk, died Monday, June 25, 2007, in University Hospitals Health Care at Heather Hill in Chardon, after a short illness.
She was born May 11, 1924, in Riga, Latvia. She moved to the United States and lived in Norwalk and Sandusky. In 1962, she was married and moved to Euclid and was a member of the United Latvian Church of Lakewood. She retired from British Petroleum, formerly Chase Brass and Copper Company, Euclid. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed flowers and raising small animals.
She is survived by her husband, Vladas Maciejauskas; daughter, Ilona (John) Daw-Krizman of Chardon; son, Victor Maciejauskas of University Heights; three grandchildren, David, Christian and John Erik; and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Latvia and Australia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav Manton and Anna (Jacobs) Manton; brothers, Rienhold Manton and Victor Manton; sister, Ilona Manton.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk, where a funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Mark Bogen, associate pastor at St. Peter Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk with a reception to follow at the Norwalk Elks Lodge.
