Raymond C. Perin, 86, of Port Clinton, passed away Monday, June 25, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. Raymond was born Nov. 7, 1920, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to Carroll F. and Mabel L. (Sherloh) Perin. Raymond married Nola V. Hensley in Angola, Ind., and she preceded him in death Dec. 2, 2004. He was a precision grinder at New Departure/Delphi, Sandusky for 35 years. Raymond also worked at the former Catawba Willows Golf Course, Port Clinton. He enjoyed fishing, golf, boating, bowling and playing pool. Raymond was an active man living in the Port Clinton area for more than 50 years. He loved his dogs and also enjoyed telling stories and jokes to his friends and family. Raymond was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from 1942-45. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Survivors include his son, Roger (Linda) Perin of Sandusky; daughter, Marsha (Ed) Hessler of Sandusky; step-daughters, Linda Charlene (Doug) Patrick of Port Clinton, Joyce (Ken) Carpenter of Wellington; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sisters, Phyllis, Elaine and Mary; and stepson, Michael Chaffin.
Visitation will from 4-7 p.m. today in Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where services will be 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Harry Hunt will officiate. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
