LaVenia Faye Hahn, 66, passed from this life unexpectedly, Friday, June 15th, 2007, in Bibb Medical Center in Centreville, Ala.
She had been residing in Bibb Medical Center Nursing Home due to declining health. She was born Dec. 6, 1940 in Siluria, Ala., the daughter of Joe and Ferrell Sharp, now deceased. A former resident of Sandusky, she worked for many years at Providence Hospital before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, reading and her beloved dog, Bailey. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Sandusky.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, David E. Hahn; son, David E. Hahn II of Sandusky; daughter, Renee D. Hahn of Sandusky; and grandchildren, Denise, Dale, David III and Dylan; brother, James D. Sharp; mother-in-law, Ada F. Hahn of Huron; and numerous cousins and in-laws.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. today in the Gazebo at Bibb Medical Center Nursing Home in Centreville. Final resting place will be in Shelby Memorial Gardens, Calera, Ala., near her parents.
