Carolyn L. Alexander, 60, of Second St., Fremont, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, in the home of her daughter in Sandusky.
She was born Sept. 1, 1946, in Alcott, W. Va., to Richard H. and Harriet Odessa (Weiker) Beal. She married Lawrence L. Alexander on Nov. 2, 1996, in Fremont and he survives. Carolyn worked for Travelers Bar & Grill in Port Clinton and other area restaurants and was a cook for the Holiday Inn in Fremont for the last three years. She was a member of Warren AME Church where she donated her time to volunteer work. Carolyn loved to make crafts and quilts and be with her family, grandchildren and friends.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Lawrence L. Alexander of Fremont; daughters, Stephanie (Marcus) Donald of Texas and Anita (Marvin) Savage of Sandusky; sons, Charles and Richard Foster, and mother, Harriet O. Beal, all of Fremont; brother, Richard (Carla) Beal of Sandusky; sisters, Maxine Pullom of Fostoria, Odelia (Kenneth) Palmer of Sandusky and Marcia Beal of Fremont; seven grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews and special friend, Mattie Brown.
She was preceded in death by her father; two brothers; one sister and nieces and nephews.
The family of Mrs. Alexander would like to thank all the staff, nurses and doctors from Stein Hospice for their professional help during their loved one's passing.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, where services will be 1 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Fremont.
