William R. Limberios Sr., 86, of the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, and formerly of Kilroy Road, Castalia, died Tuesday morning, June 19, 2007, in his residence.
He was born March 5, 1921, in Huron. He was a member of the Meadowlawn Church of Christ, Sandusky; VFW Post 2529; Painters' Local Union 788; and was an avid collector of Indian artifacts and arrowheads. He was a retired painter, working out of the local painters' union and a self-employed sign painter for many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Bill is survived by five daughters, Sharon (Dennis) Dahm and Karen (Ronald) Brightman, both of Sandusky, Tonya (Robert) McCarley of Castalia, Sally (Glenn) Smith of Palmer, Alaska, and Jill (Dean) Everett of Vickery; three sons, William (Judy) Limberios Jr., Joe (Louise) Limberios and David (Kathy) Limberios, all of Castalia; 28 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Parker of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews, including Janet Long of Castalia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores (Borsick) Limberios in 1990; and his parents, Harry and Clara (Slocum) Limberios.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m.Thursday until services at 11 a.m. in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. The Rev. Mathew Dahm, of the Marion Church of Christ, and grandson of Mr. Limberios, will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
