Carlton F. Trotter, 83, of 11510 Ohio 13, Milan, died late Friday evening, June 15, 2007, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, after a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 20, 1923, in Gainesville, Ga. and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Prior to his retirement, Carlton was employed at the former J & L Steel Factory, Detroit, Mich. He was a member of Milan Friends Church and Marks Lodge 359, F. & A.M.
He is survived by one son, Stanley Greaves of Milan; three grandchildren, Allan Greaves of Milan, James Greaves of New London and Sandra Waller of Norwalk; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister; one brother; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice in 2004; his parents; and one sister.
Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. in Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron, where funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. William Enderle and the Rev. Stephen Mclaughin will co-officiate. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery.
