Rose M. Thonen, 82, of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2007, in The Bellevue Hospital.
She was born Jan. 12, 1925, in Wellsville, Ohio, the daughter of Ben and Theresa (Straziuso) Pepe, now deceased. She married Ralph "Barney" Thonen on Jan. 15, 1947, in Beaver Falls, Pa. Rose worked and retired from General Electric in 1985. She was also a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Club Amer-Ital.
Rose is survived by three sons, John (Jan) Thonen of Oberlin, Ralph Thonen Jr. of Hamburg, Germany and Patrick (Norma) Thonen of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Shirley (Bob) Haffey and Karen (Carl) Koselke, both of Bellevue; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Matt Pepe of East Liverpool, Ohio; and two sisters, Antoinette SanGregory of Tiffin and Gina Lindsey of Helena, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, in 1987; and her parents.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. Saturday until services at 11 a.m. in Foos and Son Funeral Home, 311 W. Main St., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
