Phyllis R. Simonis, 81, of 18th Street, Bradenton, Fla., died May 24, 2007, in the loving care of her son and daughter-in-law and Stein Hospice at her son's home in Catawba Island.
She was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Sycamore, Ohio. She was an automotive business manager. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her family and grandchildren very much.
She is survived by her sons, Roger W. Simonis of Bradenton, Fla., and Michael D. (Ginny) Simonis of Catawba Island; grandchildren, Natalie Simonis of Dallas, Bernadette Simonis of Ravenna, Ohio, Chandon (Heather) Simonis of Columbus and Douglas (Veronica) Simonis of Pickerington, Ohio; siblings, Bobby Hussey of Carey, Ohio, Clara Louise Lydey of Tiffin and Mabel Hussey of Tiffin; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Simonis whom she married Jan. 27, 1945 and who died Dec. 17, 2004; her parents, Walter T. and Clara Maude (Montz) Hussey; two sisters, Mary Angel and Edith Niekirk; and four brothers, Harry, Earl, Burke and John Hussey.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday until services at 11 a.m. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, 201 W. Saffel Ave., Sycamore, Ohio. The Rev. John Mueller will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
