Constance Lee Martin, 59, went home to the Lord on June 3, 2007, after a long battle with cancer in the Cleveland Clinic.
Constance was born Aug. 20, 1947, in Hetzel, W. Va. She was fondly called "Connie" by her family and friends. She was baptized in the Catholic faith and was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sandusky. Connie attended Sandusky Public Schools and graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1966. She was employed at CertainTeed in Avery, Ohio, and retired in 2005, after more than 30 years of dedicated service.
Connie leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Jason (Brooke) Martin and Tiffany Martin, both of Sandusky; her sister, Eloise (Fred) Johnson Rhodes of Sandusky; brother, James (Lois) Martin of Bedford Heights, Ohio; one grandson, Jaelen Martin; and a host of other relatives andfriends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Magnolia (Kirby) Martin; and her sister, Carol Martin.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where prayer services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1605 W. Jefferson St., Sandusky, with the Rev. Chris Kardzis officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
