William "W.T." Henry, 73, of Lima, Ohio, and formerly of Sandusky, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 in St. Rita Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Aug. 13, 1933, in Alberton, Ga., and raised in Gadsden, Ala. He moved to Sandusky in 1956 where he worked for Waldock Packing and Sandusky Dressed Beef, retiring in 1990. William was a member of Emmanuel Temple, Sandusky, and the UAW. He dearly loved his family, and he was an avid outdoor person who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
William is survived by his daughters, Patricia (Brian) Watson-Spears of Sandusky and Mozelle "Penny" Mosley and Mary Lyons, both of Lima; his sons, William Henry Jr. of Germany and Frank Henry of Sandusky; 16 grandchildren; special grandchild, Barbara T. Adeniyi -- "God has a blessing with her name on it"; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lena Sanders of Sandusky; brother, Milton Sheppard of Sandusky; special friend, Geraldine Musgrove of Sandusky; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Trying Henry and Anna (Hunt) Powell; a son, James Henry; a great-grandson; four sisters, Birdie, Pearlie, Elizabeth, and Ula; and two brothers, James and Early.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Emmanuel Temple, 128 E. Adams St., Sandusky, where funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday. Bishop Rufus G.W. Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
