Jean E. Lhota Miller, 87, of Moline, Ill., died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, in Heartland Health Care Center in Moline.
Jean E. (Garee) was born Dec. 5, 1919, to Samuel and Lillian (Leonard) Garee in Washington, Pa. She married Jack Miller, who preceded her in death. She was employed for 20 years as executive secretary for Canton Chamber of Commerce, Canton, Ohio, and then was secretary for Kraft Foods for 15 years, retiring in 1985. She moved to Illinois four years ago.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Anne Johnson of Cordova, Ill.; a son, William Lhota of Worthington, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Cindy Beasley of Sandusky; stepsons, Mike Miller of Albuquerque, Minn. and Jack Miller Jr.; three granddaughters, Beth Bealer of Coal Valley, Ill., Terese Lepelley of Hudson, Ohio, and Ann Lhota of Columbus; two grandsons, Dan Lhota of St. Louis and Robert Lhota of San Francisco; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; a son, Harold Lhota Jr.; and three brothers, John, Sam and George Garee.
A private family memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Wendt Funeral Home, Moline.
