Janet Sue (Sommer) Bartizal, 52, of Vermilion, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 in Stein Hospice, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb.10, 1955, in Fremont. She was a Vermilion resident for the last 17 years. She worked as the clerk for Erie County Court for 15 years and deputy clerk for 2 years prior. She graduated from Fremont Ross High School, and was a member of the Ohio Association of Municipal County Court Clerks. She enjoyed her home, decorating, yard work and rescue dogs. She was involved in Fox Terrier Rescue Association and Airedale Terrier Rescue Adoption.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Kenneth Bartizal of Vermilion; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Charlene Appleby; and her parents, Loren and Evelyn (Beck) Sommer.
Private graveside services will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
