Donald S. Orshoski, 75, of Huron, passed from this world to the next Saturday, May 19, 2007.
He was readied for this final journey with his wife of 56 years, Margery, at his side along with close family members and Stein Hospice.
Don, or "Do" as his co-workers called him, worked as a lineman with Ohio Edison for 35 years. His real work began post-retirement, helping family and friends, as well as volunteering for the rural home-delivered meal program for Serving Our Seniors of Erie County.
Don was a member of Mark's Masonic Lodge, Huron; a lifetime member of VFW; an active IBEW member; and belonged to the American Legion. His interests, in addition to his family and friends, included pride and care of his lawn and an ongoing affection for Huron.
He is survived by his wife, Margery (Schuh); a daughter, Deborah Jones of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a son, Bruce Orshoski of Kelleys Island; grandchildren, Ben Jones, Emily Fouse, Jodi Smercina and Kathy Orshoski; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Emma (Yeager) Orshoski; three brothers, Paul, Wayne and Clifford Orshoski; and a sister, Bertie Maschari.
A private family visitation and service was held and burial was in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron, is in charge of arrangements.
