Jay P. Wilson, of Fairview, N.C., and Port Orange, Fla., passed away Monday, May 14, 2007, in the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center, Asheville, N.C.
Mr. Wilson was born in Sandusky and moved to the Port Orange area in 1978. He is a graduate of Spruce Creek High School, joined the U.S. Navy and returned to Port Orange as a business man. He then pursued a career in respiratory therapy. Jay enjoyed golfing, was a connoisseur of fine wine and music and was an accomplished pianist.
Surviving are three sisters, Deborah (Dr. James) McMullen of Port Charlotte, Fla., Rebecca (Steve) Malin of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Sally Wolfe of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, John T. Wilson Jr. of Sandusky and William F. (Patti) Wilson of Huron; four nieces; and four nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. John T. and Patricia (Ries) Wilson; and sister, Veva J. Wilson.
