Lauretta A. Biecheler, 90, of 818 Tyler St., Sandusky, died following a brief illness, Monday evening, May 14, 2007, surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 12, 1916, in Sandusky and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and loved to sew, crochet, work with ceramics and solve crosswords.
Mrs. Biecheler is survived by her daughters, Joan (Louis) Youskievicz, Jeanette (Michael) Lippert and Margaret (Darrell) Hurlburt and sons, Paul (Lillie) Biecheler and John (Rita) Biecheler, all of Sandusky; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Ellen Everett of
Sandusky; and her brother, Paul (Patricia) Kaiser of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Biecheler in 1981; a son, Thomas, in infancy; her parents, John A. and Ida (Nesselhauf) Kaiser; a grandson, Christopher Biecheler; and brothers, George and William Kaiser.
Friends will be received from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where prayer services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Doug Garand will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
