Marilyn I. Springer, 69, formerly of Norwalk and Fostoria, walked into the arms of Jesus Friday, May 3, 2007, in Community Hospital, Springfield, Ohio.
She was born March 22, 1938, in Roscoe Village, Ohio, to Floyd and Irene Hinds, now deceased. She was a 1955 graduate of Margaretta High School and a 1958 graduate of Providence School of Nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse at Margaretta Schools and Ohio Veterans Home. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Marilyn is survived by one son, Craig (Valerie) Springer of Milan; three daughters, Joni (Michael) Adkins of Canton, Ohio, Lori (Steven) Merritt of North Fairfield, and Jennifer (Ed) Steffanni of Springfield; 11 loving grandchildren, Rebecca, Brandy and Samantha Springer, Donnie Kuhlman, Erin and Lee Adkins, Lauren, Emily, and Samuel Merritt and Alexis and Eddie Steffanni; four great-grandchildren, Josephine, Isabella, Jonathon, and Christian; two brothers, Gene (Wanda) Hinds of Vickery and Rick (Cathy) Hinds of Castalia; one sister, Elayne (Ken) Watkins of Mount Vernon, Ohio; her uncle, Haldor Richcreek; her aunts, Imogene Graigo, Clarellen Gress and Betty Huff; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Welcome and Winifred Richcreek; her paternal grandparents, William and Clara Hinds; her fiance, Bill Dennis; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday until services at 11 a.m. in Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene, 4013 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Russ Gumm and the Rev. Michael Adkins will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
