Marjorie M. Crabbs, 91, of Norwalk, died Friday, May 4, 2007, at Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk.
She was born March 13, 1916, in Fitchville to Grant and Susan (Mickey) Crabbs, now deceased. She was from a family of nine children, and had a twin sister, Madge. She graduated from New London High School in 1934. She worked at Woolworth's and then Hamilton Beach. She loved to sew and go walking and was best known for her cooking.
She is survived by her sisters, Esther Lowery of Wellington and Alice Watts of Toledo; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Sterling, Hugh and Benjamin; sisters, Ruth Todd, Helen Sowers and Madge Freeman.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Tuesday until services at 11 a.m. at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Paul D. Lamb, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Fitchville Cemetery.
