Charles G. Bravard Jr., 70, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007.
He was born Nov. 5, 1936, in Sandusky.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Bravard; and nephew, John Charles Biemeck.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol Ann Bravard; children, C. Gregory (Jacquita) Bravard III, Cynthia Bravard, and Catherine Bravard; grandchildren, Crystal Ayres, Jennifer Cvar, Stephanie Ayres, Michael Ayres Jr., Colin Shanahan, Samantha Bravard, and Carrie Bravard; sister, Patricia (Ralph) Watterworth of Virginia; niece, Beth (Wade) Goodwin; and family of Virginia; mother-in-law, Gloria Brackney of Ohio; and his wife's brothers, sisters and their families, all from Ohio; uncle and aunt, "Sonny" and Dolly Lublow of Ohio; numerous cousins; other relatives and friends.
Charles was a journeyman electrician and retired from Ohio Edison in Sandusky in 1974 and also retired from West Plains Energy in Pueblo in 1996. After his retirement he sold real estate for a short time in Pueblo West. He was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and the BPOE 90. Charles was an avid gardener, he loved history and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a Bronco and Ohio State football fan.
At his request, cremation with services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Pueblo West. The family will receive friends and family at the church after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Savior's Lutheran Church Building Fund; Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation; American Cancer Society; American Heart Association; or the American Diabetes Association, in his memory.
