Nola I. Becker, 74, of Norwalk, died Wednesday afternoon, April 25, 2007, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 3, 1932, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to George and Sylvia (Rickson) Erhart, now deceased, and came to this area in 1955 from Tuscon, Ariz. She was the bookkeeper of the Becker Potato Chip Company in Norwalk for 40 years. She was a member of Norwalk First United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a 50-year and founding member of the Canasta Club in Norwalk. She was well known for her crafts and displayed them in several area business offices at Christmas time and also had a display in the Liberace Museum in Las Vegas, Nev. She and her husband enjoyed visiting Casino's across the country.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard E. "Dick" Becker of Norwalk; and by her sons, Gary A. Becker of Kansas City, Mo., and Larry E. (Marilyn) Becker of Norwalk; and by her daughter, Linda M. Becker of Sandusky; and three grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Roger (Eloise) Erhart of Grand Rapids, Mich. and her sister-in -law, Arlene Erhart of Grand Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Erhart.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church, 60 W. Main St., Norwalk, where services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Dr. Roger Smith will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk.
