Doris E. (Albert) Hildebrand, 79, of Sandusky, passed away late Sunday afternoon, April 22, 2007, in Parkvue Healthcare Center, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 26, 1927, in Sandusky. She worked for many years for the Sortino family at Days Inn and at LaRiviera Motel as a desk clerk, retiring in late 1980s. She loved watching old western movies and spending time with her family and grandchildren and attending the many family picnics throughout the years. She had a knack for music, being able to play the piano and the accordion by ear without any formal training. Also, an avid card player, she was involved in some local card clubs. She attended Faith Memorial Church, VFW and was a member of Sandusky Eagles Ladies Auxiliary Aerie 444.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gustave F. Hildebrand; children, Dennis (Kathy) Albert of Nicholasville, Ky., Duane (Marjorie) Albert of Sandusky, Dean (Roseanne) Albert of Cary, N.C., Deborah (Steve) Parker of Clyde, Douglas (Merry) Hildebrand of Sandusky and Darrin (Cindy) Hildebrand of Berlin Heights; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene A. Albert (1984); parents, Herbert and Flossie Elaine (Beyers) Hartwig; grandson, Craig M. Albert (1976); and great-grandson, Jordan C. Parker (1993).
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Faith Memorial Church, 1320 E. Strub Road, Sandusky, and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until services at 11 a.m. The Rev. Kenneth L. Hiser will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, Sandusky.
