Luther H. Paulsen, 83, of Port Clinton, and formerly of Sandusky and Tiffin, died April 16, 2007, in Harbor Side Health Care, Sylvania.
He was born May 5, 1923, in Bay Township, the son of Andrew and Mabel (Libben) Paulsen, now deceased. He married Eleanor Bauman on Sept. 27, 1947, and she survives. Mr. Paulsen worked for Ohio Bell/Ameritech in Management for 34 years, retiring Sept. 1, 1982. He was a Flight Engineer in the U.S. Air Force, becoming a Lieutenant during World War II. He retired from the Air Force Reserves as a Major in 1983. He was a member of The Lutheran Church of our Savior, the Sandusky and Tiffin Lions Clubs, and a member of the Oak Harbor Blue Lodge 495 F & A.M. for 60 years.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor; sons, David Paulsen of Port Clinton and Larry (Kathy) Paulsen of Norwalk; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Lucille (Don) Atzinger of Lyons, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his son, Lynn Paulsen; daughter, Janet Miller; grandsons, Chad and Karl Paulsen; and brother, Archie Paulsen.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday in Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where services will be 11 a.m. Friday. Pastor Richard O. Sauerlender will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
