Ruth P. (Hohler) Brotzki, 75, of Sandusky, passed away early Monday afternoon, April 16, 2007, in her home, after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 9, 1932, in Sandusky, and had attended Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School and went on to graduate from St. Mary's High School in 1950. Mrs. Brotzki retired in 1996, after 23 years, from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, involved in the women's choir, bereavement committee and a volunteer for other church functions. She truly enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, whom she married May 30, 1953, Bernard A. "Bernie" Brotzki; children, Terrie Wilson of Canal Fulton, Ohio, Cindy (Bruce) Galler of Knoxville, Tenn., Ann (Dave) Waddington of Sandusky, Joan (Jim) Chapman of Sandusky, Tom (Mary) Brotzki of Hudson, N.H., and Pete Brotzki of Bowling Green, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, Ben, Justin and Brandon Wilson, Nicki and Jenn Galler, Tyler Waddington, Katie, Jimmy and Jillian Chapman, Bridget and Caroline Brotzki, and Matthew and Nathan Brotzki; one great-grandson, Maddox Wilson; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Catherine (Haar) Hohler; son in infancy, Joseph Brotzki in 1971; three brothers, John, Robert and Richard Hohler.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today in David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where prayers will be recited at9:40 a.m. Thursday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
