Carole L. Stierhoff, 72, of Sandusky, died Saturday evening, April 14, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus.
She was born Nov. 3, 1934, in Des Moines, Iowa, and graduated from St. Mary High School. She was employed as office manager for Huntley Uniform Sales and Supplies for more than 25 years. She was treasurer for the Red Hat Society Flashers in Sandusky. Carole was very active while her daughters were in school at Perkins, with the Parent Teachers Association, and as president of the Band Boosters. She loved reading, cross-stitching, traveling and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Keith, whom she married Oct. 3, 1953; daughters, Karen (Larry Stefan) Stierhoff of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Cathy (Frank Lawler) Stierhoff of Sausalito, Calif., and Karla (Chet) Roshetko of Biloxi, Miss.; grandchildren, Haley, Hanna, Katey, Regan, Trenton and Brennan; sisters, Mary Peitz of Toledo and Judy Richardson, Westerville, Ohio; brothers, Steven Triplett of New Philadelphia, Ohio, and Newton Triplett of St. Mary's, Ohio; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Verne L. and Angela G. (Oldegering) Triplett; sister, Terry Davisson; and brother, Thomas Triplett.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until memorial services at 11 a.m. April 30 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
