Janet R. Humbert, 75, of Marblehead, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, in Riverview Senior Health Care Campus in Oak Harbor.
She was born Dec. 23, 1931, in Fremont, the daughter of Nelson Bruce and Helen (Humberger) Weyant. Janet was a 1949 graduate of Jackson-Burgoon and was employed as manager of the Bettsville branch of Old Fort Bank, and after a brief retirement, she worked at the Old Fort branch. She was a member since 1961 and a past worthy matron of Fremont chapter 133, Order of Eastern Star. Janet was a great neighbor to all. She was known to always help her neighbors in need, whatever the need was.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Glenn E. Humbert, whom she married April 1, 1951; daughter, Deborah Noward of Maumee, Ohio; son, Dennis (Anna Rice) Humbert of Vermont; grandchildren, Chris (Andrea West) Noward, Ryan Noward and Daniel Noward; brothers, Loren (Geri) Weyant of Fremont and Glen (Marilyn) Weyant of Burgoon; and her "almost sister" Virginia (Tom) Cullen of Clyde.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Baptist Church, 4650 E. Port Clinton Eastern Road, Danbury Township with the Rev. Peter Dodd officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Hospice, 430 S. Main Street, Clyde, OH 43451 or Lakeside or Marblehead Fire Departments.
