Flossie C. Laviola, 88, of Milan and formerly of Bellevue, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in the Arbors of Clyde.
Flossie was born Nov. 2, 1918, in Bellevue, and was the daughter of Sam and Josephine (Giammo) Baptista, now deceased. She worked at General Electric for 31 years and retired in 1981. She married Frank Laviola on Sept. 15, 1941, in Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue. She was a 1937 graduate of Bellevue High School and a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the General Electric International Association of Machinist, Club Amer-Ital, and the Altar Rosary Society.
Flossie is survived by a daughter, Kay (Theodore) Lillibridge of Milan; two grandchildren, Douglas (Claudia) Lillibridge of Twinsburg, Ohio, and Charlotte Lillibridge of Milan; sister, Theresa Baptista of Bellevue; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Flossie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Sam J., Charles and William J. Baptista; and infant sister, Teresa Baptista.
Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, with Rosary service at 3:30 p.m. in Foos and Son Funeral Home, 311 W. Main St., Bellevue, Ohio. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Church, with The Rev. Frank Spieer officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
