Michael Boyko, 88, passed away March 23, 2007, in the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky.
Michael was born Nov. 14, 1918, in Cleveland, to Marko and Anna Boyko. He served during World War II with the Navy SeaBees and was honorably discharged. He worked at the Aluminum Company of America as an electrical foreman until his retirement. Michael was a member of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, American Legion Jacubic Post of Parma, Ohio, VFW Holland Post, Vermilion. He loved fishing and boating by his lakefront home at Queen of the Lake, in Huron.
Michael was a beloved husband of the late Katherine (Hlavaty); loving father of Dennis (Nancy), Ron (deceased)(Rita), Mary Ann Barylski (Gary) and Bruce; dearest grandfather of 11 (1 deceased); and great-grandfather of 11; dear brother of Nicholas (Helen) and the following deceased, Mary Palmer, Julia Riamondo, Pete, William and Andrew.
Friends may call from 4-8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Kolodiy-Lazuta Funeral home, 5677 State Road, Parma, Ohio, where parastas will be 7 p.m and prayer services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday. Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral. Interment will be in St. Andrew Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic School.
