Mary Patricia (Brobst) Cudnik, 81, of 3606 Matthes Ave., Sandusky, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center, after a brief illness.
She was born May 30, 1925, in Bellevue, and was a 1943 graduate of Bellevue High School. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, gardening, needlework and her K-9 companion, "Buddy." She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Mrs. Cudnik is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Thomas R. Cudnik, whom she married, Nov. 9, 1946; a son, Thomas G. (Karen) Cudnik of Huron; five daughters, Cathleen (Michael) Kelly of Charlotte, N.C., Maryellen (Edward) Odrowski of Seminole, Fla., twins, Donna (Gary) Gilbert of Huron and Diane (Theodore) Thompson of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Judith (Charles) Cottier of Kilgore, Texas; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry S. and Kathleen (O'Leary) Brobst; and three half brothers.
Friends will be received from 5 - 8 p.m. Monday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, will follow. The Rev. Marty Nassr will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
