Mary Frances Reed, 57, Mansfield, Ohio, and formerly of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 29, 2007, in MedCentral Hospital, Mansfield.
She was born Oct. 25, 1949, in Summerdale, Ala., to James H. and Eva L. (Pollard) Reed. She attended Sandusky High School and was an active member of The Wings of Angels, an organization helping needy families at Christmas. Frances was employed by General Motors for 27 years, starting in Sandusky and transferring to Mansfield. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, granny and friend to many, and she will be sorely missed by all.
Frances is survived by her mother, Eva Reed of Sandusky; daughter, LaToya Reed of Sandusky; sons, Johnny Reed and Shawn (Monique) Reed, both of Sandusky; grandchildren, Dominique, Damoshiay and Bryeen, all of Sandusky; sisters, Annice Reed Marshall and Darlene Reed Gowdy; brothers, James "Bo" (Mary Ann) Reed Jr., Ricky Reed and Marvin Reed, all of Sandusky; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, James H. Reed; brothers, Clifford Reed and Dennis Reed; and a sister, Sherlene Reed.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky, with Elder Clinton Gray Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
