Edwin "Ed" H. Didion, 83, of Heyman Road, Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in his home.
Didion was born May 11, 1923, in Bellevue. He was the son of August and Louise (Ringlein) Didion, now deceased. Ed was a master cabinet maker and wood worker. He was a member of St. Gaspar del Bufalo Church, the former St. Sebastian Church, and the Bellevue K of C. He was a 1943 graduate of Bellevue High School and will be remembered as the Didion family genealogist and steward of the land he loved so much.
Survivors include his brothers, Dr. Paul Didion of Jefferson, Wisc., and James Didion of Naples Fla.; sisters, Olivia Helmkamp of Strawberry, Ariz., and Rita Brandal and Dorothy Shelley of Bellevue; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents; his brothers, Albin and Elmer Didion, and sisters, Irene Grine, Agnes Stewart, Dolores Nelson, Lavina Friend and Mary Didion preceded him in death.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in Foos and Son Funeral Home, 311 W. Main St., Bellevue, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Gaspar del Bufalo Church, 16209 E. County Road 46, Bellevue, with The Rev. John Nagele officiating. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery.
