Rose Mary Oglesbee, 78, of Lakeside-Marblehead, died Monday, March 26, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
She was born Aug. 12, 1928, in Port Clinton, the daughter of Carl G. and Esther M (Kapp) Kuhn, now deceased. She married Wesley Oglesbee on Feb. 16, 1946, and he preceded her in death Dec. 5, 2004. Mrs. Oglesbee was a cashier at A&P Tea Co. in Port Clinton and later was the canteen manager for the Marblehead VFW. She was a very active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Marblehead, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 7572, Eagles Lodge Aerie 2295, Port Clinton, and Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her son, Wesley R. "Bobby" (Sandy) Oglesbee of Lakeside-Marblehead; daughter, Mary V. "Vickie" (John) Kozak of Lakeside-Marblehead; grandchildren, Tony (Helen) Puckett, Angel Scott, Wesley M. and Brian Oglesbee; stepgrandchildren, Mike Chaffin, Brian and Jeff Hild; 10 great-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois (Glenn) Feasel of Tiffin, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wesley; brother, Robert Kuhn; and sister, Margaret Rhone.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday in Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, where services will be 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Twp. Pastor Chris Young will be officiating.
