Gabriel A. "Gabe" Yado, 51, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2007, in the Cleveland Clinic after a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 31, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas, and attended Sandusky High School.
He leaves behind two daughters, Angela and Gabrielle; two grandchildren; six sisters, Florencia Torres, Gloria Almaraz, Linda Yado and Debbie Yado, all of Sandusky, Chonita Cruz of Fremont, and Rose Smith of Cleveland, Tenn.; and two brothers, Frederico Yado, Jr. of Clyde and Jesse Yado of Sandusky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederico C. Sr. and Guadalupe (Alvarez) Yado-Castaneda; and one brother, Frederico Yado, Jr..
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Ave., Sandusky, with Fr. Chris Kardzis officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Cemetery. The Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky is in charge of arrangements.
