Paul B. Kreidler, 74, of Sandusky, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born May 6, 1932, in Sandusky, and was a 1951 graduate of St. Mary's High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed by Union Chain for 17 years, New Departure Hyatt as a tool and die maker, for 291/2 years, retiring in 1997 and a self-employed farmer.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Erie County Conservation League, National Rifle Association, former president of Firelands Pioneer Power Association, American Legion Post 83, Sandusky, and loved restoring tractors, belonging to several tractor clubs and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Anna (Wehle) Kreidler, to whom he was married 47 years; sons, David (Pamela) Kreidler of North Olmsted, Ohio, Donald (Suzanne) Kreidler of Sandusky, and Father Rodney Kreidler of Fairview Park, Ohio; daughter, Loriann (Scot) Mayhorne of Sandusky; grandchildren, Marianna Kreidler, Allen Joseph Kreidler and Evan Hullinger; sisters, Ann Losey of Sandusky and Louise Nees of Myrtle Beach, S.C., nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucas and Margaret (Kneissler) Kreidler; and a brother, Herbert Kreidler.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Monday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where prayer services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, followed by 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. His son, Father Rodney Kreidler, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky, with the American Legion Post 83 Honor Guard presenting the flag.
