John W. Young, 77, of Bellevue, died Friday, March 23, 2007, in Memorial Hospital in Fremont, after a lengthy illness.
John was born Feb. 28, 1930 in Valleyfork, W.Va., to John W. Young and Nettie J. Cruickshanks, now deceased. He was employed at Olson Manufacturing in Elyria, then at the former Magic Chef and Johnson Furnace in Bellevue. He was a TV repairman for many years and a self-employed truck driver, retiring in 1995. John enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles and C.B. Radio.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. (Triplett) Young; sons, James W. (Lisa M.) Young of Republic and John Andrew (Lucy) Young of North Carolina; daughters, Margaret Young of Fremont and Johnna Young of Norwalk; stepsons, Michael Nutter and Donald (Angela) Nutter; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert A. Young, five brothers and seven sisters.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until services at 3 p.m. Monday in Foos and Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Abby Alman and David Vensel, officiating.Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church; 4997 Sandusky County Road 83 Clyde, OH 43416.
