Roger A. Aftoora Jr., 59, of Bowling Green, Ohio, died March 14, 2007, in Wood County Hospital.
He was born June 15, 1947, in Toledo, to Roger C. and Dorothy (Margy) Aftoora Sr. He married Patricia (Etowski) on Sept. 15, 1976, and she survives in Bowling Green.
Also surviving are sons, Christopher of Bowling Green and Eric of Sandusky; sister, Judie McCoy of Kokomo, Ind.; aunt, Alice Aftoora of Brooklyn, Ohio; and two nieces.
Mr. Aftoora "Mr. Rainbow" was the owner/operator of Rainbow Jewelry services on West Wooster Street in Bowling Green for more than 19 years. He worked for Champion Spark Plugs, GE, and Ostermans before becoming self-employed. He was a former coach and volunteer for the Bowling Green Pee Wee League baseball program for many years, was involved with the B.G. Downtown Business Association. He loved nature, especially the Pacific Northwest area including the mountains, rainforests, oceans, and more specifically, Paradise Lodge on Mount Rainier. He enjoyed watching TV and especially the Detroit Tigers. Roger loved working with jewelry and dealing with people in the downtown Bowling Green community.
Visitation was March 17 in Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green. Funeral services were private.
