Gladys Mae Brugger, 87, of Vickery, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Brugger was born April 5, 1919, in Green Springs to John and Bessie (Ludwig) Miller, now deceased. She graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1938 and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Vickery and NOPE. She worked 18 years at Sandusky County Home, retiring in 1970.
On Aug. 25, 1945, she married John L. Brugger and he preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1994.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Meek (Bob Futrell) of Little Switzerland, N.C., and Evelyn "Susie" Hemmer of Vickery; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Helen (Robert) Pine of Bellevue.
Mrs. Brugger was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Hoffman, and two brothers, Charles Miller and Ralph Miller.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery, with the Rev. David Klappenbach officiating. Burial will be in Parkhurst Cemetery.
