Gladys R. (Harvey) Hamilton-Leffel, 77, 2308 Milan Road, Sandusky, went home to join her Lord and Savior Thursday night, March 15, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a briefillness.
She was born Aug. 7, 1929, in Coburn, Va. She was a longtime employee of Bargain Fair and Mister Wiggs. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping and sitting by the bay. Gladys enjoyed being with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Roy O. Leffel; daughter, Helen F. Hamilton; son, Mark A. Hamilton; two stepdaughters, Evie (Ron) Willinger and Neva D. (Dick) Guyot; grandchildren, Kimberly L. Klima, Sarah and Rachel Hamilton, Mark A. Hamilton Jr. and Andrew J. Hamilton; stepgrandchildren, Lori A. Lawson, Michelle M. Nichols, Rebecca J. Cones and Christopher D. Willinger; great-grandchildren, Annabella, Gavyn, Braeden Klima and Cooper Hamilton; step great-grandchildren Zachery, Jacob, Nolan, Wieber, Michael, Brooke and Beau Nichols, Priscilla and Nicolas Cones and Kevin Daly Baxter.
Gladys was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubbard A. Hamilton Sr.; son, Hubbard (Jeff) Hamilton Jr.; mother, Grace Harvey; and sister, Ellen East.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Sand Hill Freewill Baptist church, Sandusky. Pastor Gary Sorrel Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
