Judith Kay McGrath Bartow, 65, of 1323 Central Ave., Sandusky, died early Thursday morning, March 15, 2007, in her residence after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her husband of 47 years, Larry, and family.
She was born Nov. 30, 1941, in Zanesville, Ohio, and was a valued employee of the Sandusky Library. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sandusky, a very active member of the Sandusky Yacht Club, where she served as chairman of the January Spaghetti Party for many years, Beta Sigma Phi, and was a past member of Welcome Wagon. She enjoyed playing bridge at various bridge clubs and boating.
Mrs. Bartow is survived by her husband, Larry M. Bartow Sr., whom she married Nov. 7, 1959; her daughters, Deidre (Michael) Naufel of Fremont and Bridget (Bradley) Castle of Sandusky; her son, Larry (Andrea) Bartow Jr. of Toledo; her mother, Jean (Goody) Sines of Columbus; three grandchildren, Ryan and Courtney Naufel and Emilie Bartow; four half sisters; and one half brother.
She was preceded in death by her father, Francis McGrath in 1978; her sister, Polly Zylinski in 1968; and two half brothers.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Sunday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where prayer services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Doug Garand will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
