Mildred D. Holmes, 95, formerly of Clyde, died Monday, March 12, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
Mrs. Holmes was born March 4, 1912, in Bellevue to Irvin and Julia (Markle) Bilger, now deceased. She was a member of Clyde Christian Church and attended York School.
On March 16, 1937, she married Carl Holmes, who died Sept. 29, 1982.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her close friends, Doris Tressler and Dick Babcock.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Bilger; and sisters, Florence Straub, Ruth Springer, Ethel Maye and Viola Bilger.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Wednesday until services at 2 p.m. at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. The Rev. Patty Able will officiate. Burial will be in York Free Chapel Cemetery.
