Lori Jean (Heckert) Mincey-Ott, 44, of County Road 259, Fremont, died at her home Thursday, March 8, 2007, after a brief illness.
She was born April 12, 1962, in Fremont, to William and Zelma (Hook) Heckert. She graduated from Terra Community College with a degree in truck driving. She and her husband, Harold, owned and operated their own truck and worked for KLLM Transportation in Jackson, Miss., where they drove trucks across the country. The last two years, she drove for U.S. Express Trucking. She was a former member of Electa Lodge 193 in Sandusky, where she had a Class B Membership. Lori enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Lori was baptized at Fremont Baptist Temple.
She leaves to cherish her, her husband, Harold Ott, and three children, Kenynia (Vernon) Howard, Darthanyaun (Shanell) Haywood, all of Fremont, and Johnathan (Christy) Harrop-Haywood of Indiana; mother, Zelma G. Heckert of Tiffin, Ohio; sisters, Cindy Heckert of Fremont, Susan (William) Theobald of Graytown, Ohio, and Jean Heckert of Tiffin; a brother, William Heckert of Florida; 16 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, William L. Heckert; son, Demetris Haywood; sister-in-law Barbara J. Stovall; and grandparents, Earl and Glenna Hook.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Wonderly-Horvath Funeral Home and Crematory and from noon until services at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hayes Memorial Untied Methodist Church. Superintendent Pastor Edward Dunn of Toledo will officiate. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
