Olive E. Stucky, 95, of Port Clinton, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in Riverview Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor.
Olive was born Feb. 3, 1912, in Delaware Twp., Ohio, the daughter of Arthur T. and Kathryn (McFeeters) Sprow. On June 11, 1934, in Marion, Ohio, she married Richard C. Stucky and he survives. Olive was a homemaker. Prior to her marriage she was a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse for Delaware Twp. schools and later in life she was a substitute teacher for Port Clinton City Schools. She attended Faith United Methodist Church. Olive loved her husband and children and took great pride in taking care of her family. She helped her husband build their home. Olive will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Survivors include her loving husband of 72 years, Richard C. Stucky of Port Clinton; daughters, Juana C. Smith of Port Clinton, Judith K. (Steven) Simmons of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Susanne C. (Rodney) Morris of Kokomo, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and seven stepgreat-grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Eileen) Sprow of Sherwood Twp., Ohio; and sister, Agnes (Robert) Mack of Bay Twp.
Olive was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, one in infancy and Clyde Sprow; and sisters, Thelma Hosler and Evelyn Kretzer
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today in Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Riverview Healthcare Campus Chapel in Oak Harbor. The Rev. Dr. Ronald Huff will officiate. Interment will be in Sherwood Cemetery, Sherwood, Ohio.
