James H. Potter, 64, of Sandusky, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, in his home.

He was a long time resident of Sandusky. He was born Jan. 6, 1943, in Nashville, Tenn., the third child of Jasper and Marie Potter Sr., now deceased. He worked for Ford Motor Companynfor 39 years. He was an associate minister for East Parish Street Church of Christ, for many years, where he was active in teaching bible classes and personal evangelistic work. He had several accomplishments and awards in bowling, being a member of several leagues.

He is survived by a sister, Juanita Owens of Marysville, Calif.,; brothers, J.P. Potter of Round Rock, Texas, and Robert Potter of Vallejo, Calif.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in East Parish Street Church of Christ, 1219 E. Parish St., Sandusky, with Brother William Burke officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
