Mary L. Bintz, 84, of Sandusky, passed away late Thursday afternoon, March 1, 2007, in Concord Care and Rehabilitation Center, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 30, 1922, in Sandusky, and was a graduate of Sandusky High School. She worked for more than 50 years at the Periodical Publishers’ Service Bureau, where she began her career as an expense clerk in the subscription department and later held a variety of other positions before retiring. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers, but was mostly devoted to taking care of her family throughout the years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by two grand-nieces; a grand-nephew; friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lucinda (Stark) Bintz; sister, Lucille Livengood; two brothers, John and Buddy Bintz; aunt, Lucy Bintz; two uncles, Karl and Marshall Bintz; nephew, Elmer Turner Sr. and grand-nephew, Elmer Turner Jr.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday in David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be noon Monday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Doug Garand will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, Margaretta Twp.
