Joan L. Geisman, 83, of Marblehead, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.
She was born April 14, 1923, in Marblehead, the daughter of Fred and Verna (Burns) Sauvey.
Joan was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Post 7572 of Marblehead.
Surviving are her husband, James C. Geisman, whom she married Oct. 15, 1949; son, J.C. (Carolyn) Geisman of Sandusky; daughter, Jo Ellen (Larry) Acocks of Defiance; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jo Monak of Port Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack and Lawrence Sauvey; and sisters, Wilma Sauvey, Ethel Gorecki, Vivian Sauvey and Marcella Piechocki.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Neidecker, LeVeck and Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Marblehead, with prayer services at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
