SANDUSKY
Hurshell Kelly, 76, of Sandusky, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus.
He was born Oct. 12, 1930, in Clifton, Tenn., and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed by Farrell-Cheek Steel Company and was a security guard by EHOVE Joint Vocational School. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Sandusky.
He is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and a special friend, Gladys Louise Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor; parents, Lee and Sallie (Kelly) Weatherspoon; sisters, Emma Johnson, Mamie Churchwell, Armintha Smith, and Mary Parker; and a brother, John “Tony” Weatherspoon.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Thursday until funeral services at 1 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 315 Decatur St., Sandusky. Pastor W. Benson Stephens Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
