Elizabeth W. O’Hara, 91, Sandusky, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus.
She was born Feb. 9, 1916, in Mill Springs, Ky., and was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She was employed as a school teacher for many years for Sandusky Schools. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Daughters of the American Revolution, College Club and Sandusky Yacht Club; and was a volunteer for many years at Firelands Regional Medical Center gift shop.
She is survived by her sons, Frank (Susan) O’Hara of West Amherst, N.Y., and William Francis (Mary Ellen) O’Hara of Itasca, Ill.; and grandchildren, Frank, Mike, Andy and Emily.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis O’Hara; parents, William and Rebecca (Corder) West; sisters, Pat and Billie; and brothers, James, Robert and Henry.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday until funeral services at 11 a.m. in First Congregational United Church of Christ, 431 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Lenore Kure will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
