Jerry R. Boos, 46, of Huron, died unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
He was born June 6, 1960, in Sandusky, and was a lifelong resident of Huron. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture in 1983. He worked as an area farmer since he was a young boy.
He was a member of United Methodist Church in Huron where he taught children's Sunday school. He belonged to the Erie County Farm Bureau and the Huron Township Planning Commission, was an Erie County Committeeman, and belonged to the Farm Service Agency. He enjoyed hunting, traveling and the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Mihalek), to whom he was married for 23 years; two sons, Jordan and Clinton, both at home; his parents, Robert and Linda (Uther) Boos of Huron; two sisters, Sharon (Joe) Enderle and Stacey (Eric) Boger, both of Huron; a brother, Jeffrey (Tammy) Boos of Huron; paternal grandfather, Charles W. Boos of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, 338 Williams St., Huron, with the Rev. Roger Skelley-Watts, officiating.
