Betty T. Meggitt, 82, of Vickery, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
Mrs. Meggitt was born May 28, 1924, in Sandusky County to John and Nora (Opper) Yeckley, now deceased. She graduated from Townsend High School 1942 and was a homemaker. Mrs. Meggitt was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery.
Survivors include her husband, John Meggitt, whom she married March 25, 1944; daughter, Carolyn (Ralph) Nath of Vickery; two sons, Alfred (Parketta) Meggitt of Norwalk and Leland (Deloris) Meggitt of Vickery; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Juanita Drake, of Columbus.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Janet Roschie, on Dec. 17, 1973; three sisters, Ruth Kollat, Helen Kistler and Josephine Szakovits; three brothers, Robert, LeRoy and Russell Yeckley; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery. Burial will be in Parkhurst Cemetery, Clyde.
Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery or Stein Hospice Service in Sandusky.
