Erlin H. Justi, 84, of Milan, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus.
He was born March 17, 1922, in Monroeville, and was a U.S. Navy veteran serving on the USS Daly. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Union Corner, Milan American Legion, Norwalk VFW, Norwalk Eagles, Norwalk Moose, was active in the Tin Can Sailors and loved fishing, hunting, the outdoors and his Brittany spaniels.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Eisenhauer) Justi, to whom he was married 56 years; daughters, Connie (Richard) Puvogel of Franklin Square, N.Y., and Jennifer (Alex) Kelemen of Hudson, Ohio; son, Joseph Justi of Sandusky; grandchildren, Ethan Kelemen, Nolan Kelemen and Jillian Puvogel; and brothers, Wesley Justi and Robert Justi, both of Monroeville.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Jill and Patricia Justi and parents, Alvin and Alma (Rohrbacher) Justi.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Groff Funeral Home, Milan Chapel, One S. Main St., Milan, and from 9 :30 a.m. Thursday until funeral services at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, Union Corner, 106 Scheid Road, Sandusky. The Rev. William Hlavin will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, where the Milan American Legion will host military honors.
